Every year during the month of Dhul Hijjah, we look to the story of the Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was ready to sacrifice what was most dear to him upon Allah’s command. As he had the strength and faith to give up his son, Allah responded through a great portrayal of mercy.
Your Qurbani is the greatest strength for families worldwide, ensuring that they can enjoy a nutritious meal and share in the festivities in an otherwise difficult and severe circumstances. The meat from your Qurbani will be distributed to those most in need, nourishing them during the days of Eid al-Adha and beyond, and bringing them joy and comfort in difficult times.

For over 13 years, we’ve been on the ground delivering Qurbani in Syria and surrounding countries.
This year, we are delivering Qurbani donations in Asia (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Iraq), Africa (Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Sudan), Palestine, Yemen, the UK and Syria/Syrian refugees.

SYRIA - £250 - Syria has the sixth-highest number of food-insecure people in the world. WFP estimates that 12.9 million Syrians – more than half the population – are in the grip of hunger.
Syrian refugees fleeing the conflict to neighbouring countries such as Lebanon and Jordan face high levels of acute food insecurity.

Prosthetic Limbs
In Syria, thousands of people have lost limbs as a result of the ongoing conflict and violence. Our Prosthetic Limb project in Syria provides individuals with access to high-quality, affordable prosthetic limbs that will help them to walk again and improve their overall quality of life.

Hearing Aids for Children
Hearing loss affects millions of people around the world, and in Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Yemen, and Jordan, the problem is particularly acute. Many people in these regions have lost their hearing due to prolonged exposure to loud noise, as well as injuries caused by conflict and violence. Our goal is to provide individuals with hearing loss in these regions with access to high-quality, affordable hearing aids that will help them to hear better and improve their overall quality of life.
£350 per case.
Many children are born into lives of fear, deprivation and exploitation and during emergencies, they are often the most affected. Our Orphan Sponsorship programme provides everyday essentials they need to survive including nutritious food, clothing and better medical care. We also try to ensure that children go to school, and their medical needs are taken care of, so that every child can feel valued and cared for.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
This section provides a brief summary of issues and common questions related to Qurbani.
Who needs to offer Qurbani?
The Hanafi school states that any adult, sane Muslim who possesses the Nisab value must give a Qurbani. So if you are eligible to pay Zakat, you need to offer a Qurbani.
The Maliki and Hanbali schools state that the person responsible for the household can make the Qurbani on their behalf.
However, in many households today, it is not uncommon to have two or more people who pay Zakat. The best and safest option is for a Qurbani to be offered for each person eligible for giving Zakat.
When should I donate my Qurbani?
This year, Eid will most likely be on 16th or 17th June 2024. Your Qurbani must be given before this date to ensure that it is a valid sacrifice. On that note, we urge you not to delay in giving yours.
As Qurbanis in each location have a set quota, we suggest you give yours as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
How important is it to give my Qurbani?
Qurbani is an obligation on all Muslims who possess wealth above the Nisab value - so if you are eligible to pay Zakat, then you must give a Qurbani.
This annual sacrifice also carries the great meaning of representing the sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim (as) was prepared to make in honour of our Creator.
Can you give Qurbani for someone else?
Yes, it is permissible to give Qurbani on behalf of someone else. You can pay for your own Qurbani as well as members of your family, or anyone else. The Prophet (saw) would even give an extra Qurbani on behalf of his Ummah.
What is a Prophetic Qurbani?
‘The Prophet (saw) sacrificed for the one who could not sacrifice from his Ummah, one who bore witness to the Oneness of Allah and [his] Prophethood’. [Tabarani and Ahmad]
After fulfilling his personal obligation, the Prophet (saw) gave an additional Qurbani on behalf of the Muslims who could not afford to do so. We encourage all of our donors to revive this forgotten Sunnah and help more needy people.
Is Qurbani part of Zakat?
No, Qurbani is a separate ritual from Zakat. However, anyone who is eligible for Zakat (any adult, sane Muslim who possesses the Nisab value) must also give a Qurbani, in accordance with the Hanafi school.
When will my Qurbani be distributed?
We work hard to ensure that the meat from your Qurbani is distributed to those in need during the days of Eid al-Adha.
