Advocacy plays a pivotal role in our mission at Syria Relief. We have dedicated and extensive teams on the ground in Syria, whose invaluable presence provides us with a wealth of insights, firsthand information, and real-time data from the heart of the crisis.

These teams work tirelessly, often in challenging conditions, to gather crucial information about the situation on the ground. This close proximity to the communities we serve allows us to respond effectively to their immediate needs and to develop long-term solutions that address the root causes of the humanitarian crisis.

Working hand-in-hand with our teams in Syria, we have the capacity to synthesise these insights into insightful reports. Our advocacy efforts extend beyond simply reporting the facts. We use these reports to engage with the international community, humanitarian organisations, and governments. Through lobbying and diplomatic channels, we strive to influence decision-makers and policymakers to make better choices in humanitarian response.

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), unanimously adopted by the UN General Assembly in September 2015, signify a significant global commitment towards achieving 17 vital and measurable advancements for the betterment of people worldwide. Covering a wide spectrum from education to environmental protection and women's rights, these SDGs outline a forward-thinking, worldwide vision for our future. One crucial aspect of this support is effective advocacy, ensuring that the SDGs are translated into tangible actions and positive change on the ground. At Syria Relief, we are actively engaged in the pursuit of these humanitarian goals, striving to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
