Cox Bazar, Bangladesh

In 2017, an exodus of Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar led to 1.3 million refugees arriving in neighbouring Bangladesh. Syria Relief responded with immediate emergency aid, followed by the implementation of longer-term programmes. At the heart of this is the provision of clean and safe water for drinking and domestic use.

Syria Relief is digging water wells in Bangladesh for the Rohingya Refugees. The extracted water will be channelled to 50 refugee tents through water pipelines, helping more than 150 people.
