Syrian children find themselves in one of the world's most perilous environments for childhood. They have endured unimaginable trauma and face the constant threat of exploitation, including child labor and early marriage. Over the course of over a decade marked by conflict and displacement, millions of children have tragically become orphaned. 

In Syria, 6.5 million children, are in need of aid, while 6.9 million people, including 3 million children, have been displaced within the country.

Through our Orphan Sponsorship Programs, you have the opportunity to provide valuable support to children who have been left without their main caregivers. Our primary focus is to support orphans within their existing family structures, whether it's with their immediate or extended families. We strive to ensure that with our assistance, caregivers can provide essentials such as food, clothing, and education for the orphaned child.

FAMILY SPONSORSHIP

A staggering 90 percent of households in Syira are living under the poverty line, and 55 percent grapple with food insecurity. Additionally, food costs in the nation surged by a third within the initial six months of the conflict in Ukraine. The plight extends to 3.75 million children, who confront issues of malnutrition. 

Entering its 13th year, the Syrian crisis stands as one of the most significant displacement tragedies of our era. This ongoing crisis has compelled millions to flee their homes, leaving them scattered and displaced across Syria and its neighbouring nations. These families find themselves seeking refuge in makeshift camps, where access to fundamental necessities like food, water, and shelter is severely limited. The absence of viable employment opportunities further compounds their struggle, trapping them in an unrelenting cycle of poverty.

The earthquakes that struck both Turkey and the Syrian Arab Republic in February 2023 exacerbated the enduring vulnerabilities of families in Syria. Over 8.8 million individuals, comprising 3.3 million children, were impacted. This led to almost 6,000 fatalities, more than 12,000 injuries, and extensive destruction of residences and critical infrastructure.
